I've been a FORScan user for about a year now and just recently looked into updating modules with it. I did a couple yesterday just to get a feel for it and it worked well.
I'm looking to update the PCM on my 2019 Ford Edge ST. It currently has K2GA-12A650-ARK on it and from what I've seen K2GA-12A650-DGC is the latest version.
Am I in the right spot to submit this request?
Request PCM Module Calibration Files
Re: Request PCM Module Calibration Files
I was able to find the files and download them. Not sure where to go from here. I placed them in the location for the calibration files directory, but it didn't recognize it so I couldn't select it from the drop down menu. I tried to use the custom option, select the new calibration file, and program the module. It appears to have loaded something, but it still says it has the old software load on it. So I'm not sure if it loaded the new one or re-loaded the old one. The car still drives and I can't tell if it did anything or not.
How do I use this new downloaded file?

Did you unzip the files? They won't be found in the zip filew102acd wrote: Sat Jan 31, 2026 5:25 pm I was able to find the files and download them. Not sure where to go from here. It's a common mistake
Re: Request PCM Module Calibration Files
I did unzip them and put both the zip and the vbf file in there.
I was able to get the new one loaded and found out what happened the first time. When I load the custom configuration and hit "test SBL" it works, but then goes back the newest auto update. So I effectively reloaded the same software.
To fix this, I loaded the custom configuration and tested the SBL. I then had to load the custom configuration again and hit "program". This successfully loaded the newest PCM firmware that I downloaded from Ford.
I also reset the adaptive tables on the transmission. I took it around the block and it appeared to be improved. This is my son's daily driver and he claims it drives better than it ever has.
For future reference or for others, once you put the new calibration files in the folder, should FORScan recognize them and give you the option from the dropdown menu or do you have to use the custom option like I did?

See section 2.2 of the firmware update instructions. It explains that when Custom is selected for file update, you must navigate to the folder and select the file you want.
