Dear FORScan friends, greetings:

I hope this email finds you well.

I purchased the Extended License( required for advanced PATS programming) as you suggested.

I downloaded the version 2.3.66 and unfortunately, I can't enter the activation Code.

The program indicated to me that it is valid until 2025-07-02. In other words, I am still using the two-month trial. So, if I understand correctly, I have to cancel that two-month trial. Is that correct ?

Please, FORScan friends; How do I do that ?

Can you help me out to download the right version to enter the Activation Code ?

Hi, you should still be able to do "everything" with the 2-month trial Extended version. The other option is, just remove exisitng Forscan from your PC and reinstall. It'll then ask you for to Enter Activation code. Just put in the new activation code you should have got after the paid subscription. Hope this helps.

Where does it appear?
In an email as submitted on the about Page?

Answer - After re submitting my request for a 2 month trial license today, 02/03/2026 @1600, I pulled out my note book on Forscan from 2023 and reread the forum administrator's post about the installation process. About an hour later I went to the Forscan about tab (Steering Wheel icon) and pressed the "Load license key" button, I was directed to follow several links which eventually lead me to the "Downloads" folder on this laptop. To open the file, after double Left clicking the file name "FORScanLicenseV2.key" I used notepad from the Microsoft pop up "how do you want to open this file?" to open the downloaded file, then copied the text string between the quote marks from the line "Key"=. it was quite long and cryptic.
Back to the about tab in Forscan, I clicked the "Load license key" button and "pasted" the text string in the License Key field and SUCCESS!
I saved the file "FORScanLicenseV2.key" to C:\Program Files (x86)\FORScan\texts\en incase I need to reinstall Forscan.
Now to relocate my OBDLINK EX adaptor...

Generate free 2 months trial Extended License Key

The trial Extended License key is provided under the "Try before you buy" concept. For two months, you can use the Extended version of the application for free and without restrictions, to understand whether it is suitable for your needs

Conditions for providing a trial Extended License key:

The key is intended for use on one computer device in a specific configuration defined by the Hardware ID.
If the device configuration is changed (due to reinstallation of the operating system, replacement of device components etc), the Hardware ID will change and a new key will be required.
User can access no more than two active trial keys.

As soon as the form is filled and submitted, the process of Extended License generation will be started. The process may take some time, usually up to 30 minites. The Extended License key will NOT be sent by email. Instead, you will be able to download the license key on this page as soon as the generation process is completed, by reloading the result page or by resubmitting the form using the same data.
