Hello !! I’m new to the forum. I’m on the lucky side to have a mk8 Fiesta , 2021 MY. I recently retrofitted FLED headlights as I had all the plugs etc. after bcm calibration, everything works fine except the front swiping LED turn signals. In short, BCM lacks a relay for the turn signals. Found out that my BCM PN is LU5T-15604-BJAD. Same MY cars with factory LEDS have LU5T-15604-BJAE. I sourced a donor from a 2024 puma. Seems like-new. Now to swap it in place and programm it, can anyone confirm the steps :
1) backup my current BCM tweaked as-built
2) fit donor bcm and write the as-built
3)check if VIN is written , or else write it manually (unsure of how)
4)erase dtc
5) do the PATS erase and reprogram (recently added for my car I saw, yay)
6) erase dtc
7) ready to go, as GWM will take care of connections, synchronize modules etc.
now , questions :
-is the PATS timed on this car ? If so do I need a battery tender for it ?
-if all goes wrong, I swap my old bcm in and I’m good to go again, right ?
