Hello everyone.
I have a Mk7 2010 Ford Transit Minibus with a failed PCM.
I am weighing up our best options for repair.
There are plenty of used PCM`s about with the same part number (9HBA AC11-12A650-BA).
Would FORScan be capable of writing a new VIN to a used PCM and also marry it up with the BCM / Immobiliser etc?.
Has anyone on here used FORScan to replace a PCM with used unit?.
Any input appreciated.
Thanks, Keith.
Replacing PCM, FORD Transit 2010 Mk7 Minibus?.

Hi Keith, are you sure the PCM is bad? I replaced my BCM in a 2017 Escape s (because of parasitic battery drain) and changed VIN in BCM to match PCM and IPC. Also programed the 2 existing keys to the vehicle after BCM swap.

Yes, some forum users have replaced PCMs. But there is no written procedure and the model year may determine how difficult it will be. Carefully search these forums and you will find some posts. I have read some posts that discuss inputting the new VIN into the PCM and it takes some understanding of translating alpha numerical values to HEX. After your research you can ask specific questions that may get a response from a couple of the experts on the forum.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes the PCM is toast unfortunately, I had no comms at all with FORScan and VCM2.
Inspecting the PCM in the engine bay it smelt of electric death and removing the lid has confirmed that.
I believe it was from a jump-start event but no-one has been forthcoming about that.
All it needed was a pair of new batteries, bit of a shame really.
So it might be worth a go with a 2nd hand PCM, will see how far we get..

I have fitted a 2nd hand PCM, managed to go thorough PATS and add it as a new module.
I get no DTC's.
The MiniBus starts and runs fine.
The only problem now is have no mileage display on the IPC.
Is this because of miss match between PCM and IPC mileage?.
Also is the VIN stored in AsBuilt format?.
The Ford Motocraft site does not show any PCM AsBuilt data but I have read two screens worth of AsBuilt from the "new" PCM.
