I've used FORScan several times in the past with 2 month licenses. Most recently back in December. I was issued another new 2 month license yesterday.
Today I attempted to use FORScan with the same laptop as previously used a few months ago. Today the license doesn't match up with the hardware ID and I can't seem to find a fix.
Admission - I'm a Mac user and kind of an illiterate in the Windows world but somehow I've muddled may way through and made FORScan adjustments to vehicles several times in the past. But today I can't seem to get the computer and the new license to get together. I do have the latest version of FORScan installed on the computer.
Any assistance is appreciated.

Please disregard the request. I went back to the license application. I discovered that I'd pasted in an old hardware ID that the computer had saved for some reason.

I didn't receive a reply when I attempted to get a 2 month license again with the correct hardware ID number.
Is there any way that this can be addressed? I'm not trying to fool the system, just trying to fix my mistake.

The two month trial key is not sent by email and has not been for over a year and there is little support for trial licenses! Some have reported getting the two trial limit lifted in some cases! As long as you have not submitted and received two trial licenses in the last two months("License limit exceeded"), the following should work! Go back to the Trial request site (https://forscan.org/support/prepare_tri ... hp?lang=en) and resubmit your information and the download link should appear where you can download the .key file!PonchoF250 wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2026 10:35 am Never did receive a reply to my email. If the key download does not appear(It should if you just abandoned/closed the request page before the request returned the download link in 30 minuets and I have had it appear in less than 10 min) then repeat the request following the instructions below!
See paragraph 3 at viewtopic.php?p=67022#p67022 which reads,
"3. Submit the request and wait until it is processed (usually it will take up to 20-30 minutes, but sometimes it may require more time). Starting from January 30th, 2024, notifications about key generation are no longer sent by E-Mail due to numerous delivery problems (many providers for some reason perceive such letters as spam). You need to reload the confirmation page in 20-30 minuters in order to obtain the key download link and instructions. If the process is completed, the key can be downloaded, otherwise current status will be displayed. It is not necessary to keep the page open; you can re-generate the request for a free license with the same data to go to the confirmation page".
"4. Please download the key from the provided link and follow the accompanying instructions to properly download and install the free 2-month trial Extended License key."
Hope this clears up some confusion?

I'm aware that the license key doesn't arrive by email. The reason that email was brought up was the response that I previously received here giving me an email address to use for inquiries. I was only stating that I never got a reply to that inquiry.

Today I was able to download another license key and had the correct hardware ID. I was able to use FORScan once again.
Thanks for the insights. I rarely use it. Maybe once or twice a year so I sometimes forget the correct steps.
