I want to install a new module but have been advised that if I don't program it to my car it won't allow the car to start after fitting it.
Can I fix this with ForScan if I can't can it be done at an independent garage or does it have to be done by a Ford main dealer? And will they even do it if it's my supplied parts ?

Re: ABS programming and PATS MK8 Fiesta
hi, I'm just writting the replay to worn U a little bit. I had/have the simmilar situation in focus mk4 2021. So, I change the abs unit for used one, update as-built configuration and change the VIN, even update the module with newer update. After that all DTC goes away but at the end the car is not starting do to a P161b which is PATS related - this one came up. The "new" ABS is an anchore for PATS and needs to be inicialized. I thought that learnig POTS again with 2 keys will deal the problem but ..no it didn't. PCM, BCM is not trusting ABS any more. I'm looking for a way to learm pcm and bcm abut new abs. Know for sure that Forscan (which is great
don't have a PATS paremeter reset/ABS initialization or so. At the moment I switch back old ABS just to start the car ...

Yeah I read the relearn function was removed from ForScan some time ago, maybe use an old version ? With license of course If possible.

I'm reading a lot about this topic and it seems it's the year (it can has diferent safety futures on PATS then older fords >2020+) and forscan will not show any of "parameter restet/initialization options)
. I'm starting to think that FDRS and dealership/online NASTF/SERMI rights are required
