Hi everyone.
Hope someone can help be with thr dreaded DPF problem.
So the errors I get are
===PCM DTC P242F-61===
Code: P242F - Diesel Particulate Filter Restriction - Ash Accumulation
===PCM DTC P2584-61===
Code: P2584 - Fuel Additive Control Module MIL Request
===PCM DTC P2585-61===
Code: P2585 - Fuel Additive Control Module Warning Lamp Request
===FACM DTC P1927-60===
Code: P1927 - Fuel Additive Level Too Low/Empty
===FACM DTC P1932-60===
Code: P1932 - Fuel Additive Level Low
I have put a litre of additive in. I the performed the refill FAT service function.
However, after clearing the errors, P1932-60, P1927-60, P2585-61, P2584-61 still return.
Any ideas why ?
The car a Ford focus II 2007 does not want to static regenerate. It halts after 11 % before revving the engine.
At the end of summer I revved the engine manually and I got the dpf filter temp between 500 and 600 degrees and that worked.
Since then the problem has returned.
However, I can no longer get that to work. The temperature of the dpf never gets above 400 Could that be because we are now in winter and it looses too much heat ? Could there be another reason ? At nearly 4000 rpm the pressure is around 40 kp / 5.80151 psi
ans is fairly constant.
Any tips are greatly appreciated.
I wanted to keep the car for a couple more years but not sure it is worth getting the filter replaced considering the age and I onlt do short journey's now.
Thanks

Re: DPF / Additive refill
Maybe your EGR is stuck and can´t staye opened. During regeneration, EGR is always open to increase temperature of exhaust gases.
