turning on sat in 2017 mustang

Since i have the base mustang it doesnt come with sat. I know i need a new cd mech with the sat antenna. Obdgenie sells a device that turns on the sat but changing as built data. Does anyone know the address and what changes need to be made?

The usual method is to find VINs of mustangs with the same options as yours but also sat. Download the as-built from ford web site and use the as-built explorer tool to compare and find the difference. Google around for both these.

Unfortunately base cars didnt come with SAT so you'll need to purchase an ACM with SAT capability (two Fakra antenna connectors on the rear) then you'll need to dig through the ABD for a Premium to find the 727 line that enables SAT.

i knew that part.... got one for $50.... just trying to find the code to turn it on in the screen. im new at this stuff.

Download your as-built and the as-built from a vehicle with the sat option: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

Best to find a vehicle with nearly identical options to yours so that it is easier to identify the as-built difference.

Troll ebay or similar to find VINs of other mustangs. Quite possible that the as-built code you are looking for will be the same for a 2016.
