Transit connect ecu swap?

Hi all been a while. But I have a friends 06 tdci 1.8 turbo van that was a Royal Mail van and has a speed restriction of 65 mph he wants it off can I just swap ecu for a 2nd hand one and re prog keys etc on forscan stuff. I tried taking restriction off in there but wasent an option available probably could if knew the coding file to change. Many thanks dean
