My limited understanding is that the IPC receives information that is stored in the BCM, but that the IPC also has a backup of the original as-built data of the BCM and corroborates its information this way and produces a DTC should information not match.
My main questions is should the as-built gathered from the IPC (main backup) be the same as the as-built data contained in the BCM?
A couple of years ago I edited my BCM to have selectshift which is did not have originally and everything worked fine but I later went back to the original setup, all with another program FoCCCus. Since that time there is a persistent no light DTC that exists for the IPC for incorrect configuration received from BCM.
Earlier today using my new extended license for ForScan, I pulled my as-built data from the BCM and the IPC (main backup) and noticed that the two files are identical except for some extraneous information in the last three blocks 8, 9, and 10. I'm attaching As-Built files so someone can see what I'm talking about. I want to restore the absolute values from the IPC main backup to the BCM if the BCM is supposed to be a copy of that file so that maybe I can fix my incorrect data DTC. it's not a big deal if I don't, but I really want to know if these things should match.
