Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
Re: Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
Thanks for that. So I've downloaded F1ET-14C025-BB.VBF from ford and moved it to the calibration files folder. Even without that it would happily read and write to the BCM (cruise and ASL switched on, can confirm by download but doesn't work). I'll do the same with this file and see how we get on!

Re: Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
Hmmm I never did turn on ASL, thought it was like a Europe thing, because I seen them have that factory but Ive not seen one with ASL around me. Also the 2017 needed this file GV6T-14C097-AA.vbf so I don't know exactly but could be region specific or certain build dates. And I never programmed anything to the IPC. So is your focus a US model or somewhere else? just curious because it went pretty straight forward for my on the two that I did and I'm not sure whats going on with yours. Also what obd Adapter are you using?
Re: Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
I'm in the UK so it's a EU model.
When changing the details in the BCM, everything went fine (e.g no errors coming up on Forscan) but didn't work. I'm wondering if it has loaded the old SBL which loaded successfully but clearly was not correct.
Tomorrow I will try it with the new SBL I have downloaded and see!

So, I tried this with the new SBL in the correct folder but no difference. Is there anything else I need to do other than change these two options?
Re: Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
Not sure if this will help, but here's my experience:
- Vehicle: Ford Focus S Mk3.5 (2015), US spec, manual transmission
- Steering wheel: I found a nice leather-covered one from a Ford Focus Titanium Mk3.5, EU spec. I suppose that the difference between the US-spec and EU-spec steering wheels is that the buttons for "cruise on" and "cruise off" are instead labelled "cruise" (by the corresponding symbol) and "lim" to allow toggling of cruise control and the speed limiter. Swapping the steering wheel was rather easy to do by following these instructions: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/to ... l-fitting/. For the central screw of the steering wheel I needed a 24mm socket and a 5 inch extension for the torque spanner.
- I used an ELM327 bluetooth adapter (without switch) to change the vehicle configuration. (I first tried a really cheap Chinese copy from Aliexpress and FORscan didn't like it. So for about 10 times the price I got one from a local shop that looks exactly the same but works.)
- I installed both FORscan and FoCCCus, but did not have to use FoCCCus.
- FORscan asked for the file F1FT-14C097-AA.VBF which I took from a directory of my FoCCCus installation.
- At first, I enabled only cruise control in the BdyCM's central config, but after that change cruise control didn't work yet. So I also enabled the Adjustable Speed Limiter (ASL) in the BdyCM's central config. And then cruise control worked!
- Even though it is activated in the central config, the speed limiter does not appear to work. This may be due to the combination of the EU steering wheel with the US car. Maybe US vehicles do not really include the speed limiter function, or maybe some additional config changes are necessary to enable it?
I'm already very happy with the cruise control. But if anybody has an idea how to also get the speed limiter working in a US Focus, please let me know

Re: Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
Hi guys i have exatly the same problem
Just installed a Cruise Control + ASL on a MK3.5 PETROL engine and it worked flawlessly. Steps were:
change the cable, install the CC buttons and enable CC and ASL in BCM using focccus.
Now, i did EXACTLY the same proceure as above with a MK3.5 GASOLINE engine but that damn thing won't work.
I talked with a guy over ffocus.ru and he told me that problem could be the PCM module not programmed to support the Cruise Control.... the problem is that the PCM module can be programmed from Ford Dealer only... any suggestion??

Re: Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
the cruise control harness in the steering wheel is different compared to the harness of a steering wheel without cc
Re: Activate Cruise Focus MK3.5 (2017)
Hi, I try to activate the cruise control on a Focus mk3.5 1.5 diesel... Forscan connect, write on BCM the cruise control activation, but don't run...
