2006 E350 Van

Post by mike34334 »

Not much info here on the vans.

I have a 2006 E350 and looking to turn cruise control on, which I believe might be in the PCM. I have the extended license and using 2.3.10

All I see is the IC and RAP module. On the initial information log it does find the "PCM - Powertrain Control Module"

Is this because Forscan isnt configured for the Vans? or is it the van which isnt compatible with the software?

The PCM is not currently programmable by FORScan. This function may come in the future, but has been left out in an abundance of caution because of the potential for damage.

Since no other control modules appear.. Am I right in assuming the PCM is the place where turning on the cruise control option would occur?

Is the PCM also where I would change the gear ratio and tire size options?

From what I've read in other threads, the cruise control function is normally in the PCM. Tire size is normally in ABS. Not sure about gear ratio.

Your lack of other modules could be due to your OBDII adapter, or it could be because the communications network only has those devices on it. I don't have a 2006 service manual to check, but in 2007, the following modules were installed on each Bus.

ISO
RCM, PAM (with parking assist), 4WD (with electronic shift on fly 4wd)

UBP
IC, VSM (with remote keyless), EATC (with electronic automatic climate control)

CAN
ABS, IC, Trailer Brake Module, PCM

All three of these Buses are listed as being connected to the Diagnostic Link Connector, and with the correct adapter should be accessible.
