Activating cruise control on FF mk1,5 1,8 TDCI

Post by Atypoc »

Hello, folks!

Recently I got all what is needed to install cruise control (steering wheel buttons, wires, etc.) and installed them. When I got to the last step, which is enabling cruise control on GEM and PCM modules through ForScan (I'm using ELM327 v1,5) I found all the options I can activate, except for the cruise control...

And the question is: How to get cruise control viewed the configuration window of both PCM and GEM modules?

I noticed that in the "configurate as built" section there's some sort of code. Maybe if someone can tell me what code should I insert, so I can have the cruise-control option showed in the configuration list...

I hava Ford Focus mk 1,5 1,8 TDCI 2004

Sincerely, yours!

As far as we know, Focus Mk1.5 doesn't need cruise control to be programmed additionally. After installing all hardware components it should work. We know a 2004 European Focus with 1.8 Zetec who made this procedure successfully.

Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, I agree that gas and TD(D)I versions had no problem with cruise control being installed, as they used to have REGULAR accelerator pedal; but TD(C)I versions, though, wich have ELECTRONIC accelerator pedal have an isuue with this...
So is it possible to look for the CC function in the PCM module? It'll be nice from You to solve ths issue...

i'm not sure it works on the diesels as they have a fly by wire throttle and the CC module has a cable from it to the throttle mate

As far as I know there is no possibility to add Cruise control on 1.8 TDCI, a german site dedicated to retrofitting parts to the Focus MK1 investigated it and reached that conclusion.
