I have just ordered a ELM327 which should be with me in a couple of days if IDS cant do. if not is there any work thorough using FORscan to carry out this procedure? On my Focus MK1.5 the GEM is easily replaced with no further configuration really necessary. In order to get the central locking to work I needed to program my remote, which was done by switching 6 times ignition to position II and of, a beep is heard, then you press a button on the remote, another beep, wait a few seconds and voila. I also changed the config of the GEM in order to remove some DTCs since it was from estate Focus and mine has 3 doors
