Need to Edit PCM vbf calibration. RPM at idle.

Post by piolin49 »

Hi chaps:

I've got a Ford 1.6 TDCI 115 hp DV6 engine (Euro 5).

The last calibration file downloaded from Motorcraft is AV61-14C204-YM (attached). PCM is already updated with it.

At idle (780 rpm) my car presents a slight hesitation or vibration. Many people says the same but maker says that this is normal.

When I press speed pedal up to 820 - 840 rpm this hesitation goes bie. The car works fine and no DTCs problem at PCM detected.

I think is a feature of Ford/Peugeot engines or, probably this engine.

I've thought to edit the calibration file to edit rpm at idle to 840 - 850 to fix the trouble. For me It will be ok.

Anybody knows how to edit this file for doing what I mean?

Anybody has this issue or has heard about?

Waiitng your reply.

Regards

How are you planning to flash the .VBF file to your PCM?

I don't know exactly how to do.

A friend say me we have to convert .vbf to WinOls file and then, with WinOls Program edit rpm at Idle, then fit to 850 rpm at idle. Like that probably no hessitation.

Probably is a solution, although ther are people who say that changing the silentblock/s (there are 3) issue was fix. In my case (and other) Injectors and adaptation is all ok, motor is ok, all ok. ?????

Anybody knows about the trouble?

Waiting your reply.

Could be a lot of things but if you want to flash the VBF file you need something like VBF loader and that is something Forscan doesn’t support yet.
