Re: ELM327-compatible adapters - how to choose
Have you got the right drivers installed ??
(If ELM327 USB isn't setup properly as per instructions below — then OBD software will not even detect the cable — let alone connect to the vehicle.)

Re: ELM327-compatible adapters - how to choose
Which adapter better to choose for Mazda CX5 2016-2018 (uses same CAN buses as ford as I understand):
1. ELS27 V4 (of course I will have to wait till WiFi/Bluetooth version will be sold)
2. ELM 327 from https://elm-327.eu/elm_usbhsms (Because they sell it now again for some time)
3. OBDLink MX+ ? Now with discount price is 75$.
Mainly I will be using it as a scanner tool, but thinking about possibility to program some modules (for example activate new features, change and progremm new instrument cluster, or program new key if with such adapters on my car it will be possible and etc.)
Thank you in advance.

Whilst BT and WiFi are so convenient, experience is that USB is reliable and they are not. Basically BT and WiFi are just replacement connections for a cable and make the communications environment more complex just to pass thru a USB interface to the host.

Vlad You're a total asshole. I agree with vlad, too many coming on here wanting to be spoon fed. Do some research before you open a new blog.

Re: ELM327-compatible adapters - how to choose
Hi fellows..
Need to say, Im feeling quite stupid. I had already some advices with bad ELM-adapter etc.
ELM works with other car and other programs, but there is something wrong with my Ford Riviera and this very same ELM-adapter.
So adapter can be unsuitable with my ford but works with some other cars (brands) ?
So the question is.. Can I somehow make my adapter to working one? I already opened it and I have a picture from my Riviera OBD-socket so someone clever than me can maybe say that what kind of adapter I need to this specific car?
Thank you so much. Im not so good about this kind of technical issues and texts..

Re: ELM327-compatible adapters - how to choose
I am using the ELM327 by OHP and the latest version of Forscan. I was trying to enable the global window open/close section and keep getting errors. By chance does anyone know if Forscan and/or the adapter is not yet compatible with the 2020 explorers ?
