Sync 2 help to enable park pilot display

Post by Mark12 »

Hi, I'm trying to enable the park pilot parking sensors display on Sync 2

Have tried changing some of the apim as-built values with information from search but no luck yet

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would really appreciate it thanks

From what I've been able to find so far

7D0-04-02 xxxX xx -------------- 1 - Rear sensors only, 7 - Front and rear sensors

I've upgraded Sync 1 to Sync 2 on my 14 Focus mk3, car has front and rear sensors with SAPP semi automatic park pilot assist

I get the sound through the audio system but I'm trying to enable the graphic on the Sync 2 display

Have just tried the as-built of a mk3.5 with front and rear sensors with park assist and rear camera but still no luck, the auto park assist is working properly with all the sounds and prompts on screen, I just can't get anything to happen on screen when I shift to reverse - the US focus mk3 had Sync 2 from the factory so I'm guessing the PAM module would be the same? Calibrations are latest through IDS

Thanks

Edit: Sync 2 system was removed from a Focus mk3.5 that only had rear sensors, all other features are working - I'm currently searching for a US Focus mk3 as-built to try

Just wanted to post that I got the park graphic to display on Sync II and also an aftermarket camera with the park graphic in the corner to display when in reverse, this might be helpful to anyone doing a Sync I - I.I to Sync II conversion on a Mk3 Focus or is interested in doing it.

Installing a facelift Mk3.5 PAM Module is not required - if you can change the PDC Architecture type in the Sync II APIM

Focus Mk3 is a C1MCA Architecture car - If your Sync II donor car was a Focus Mk3.5 the Architecture would be set to CGEA 1.3

Sync II APIM;

PDC HMI: Set to ON

PDC Architecture: Set to C1MCA

Transmission Type: Set to Manual or Automatic (whatever you have)

Parking Assistance: Set Rear, or Front Rear, or Front Rear with SAPP (whatever option you have installed)

Vehicle Style: Set your body type (hatchback, estate. etc) this will reflect what park graphic is displayed

I researched many as-built coding but could not find the correct bits to make this work so I used UCDS to set these options

Glad you made it, I guess I'm late for help :) I faced with the same issue, two years ago. Any problem with parking chimes?

Thanks :) is worth it, happy now everything is working.

No problem with parking chimes, I installed the ACM with Sync II as a set - before I programmed anything the parking chimes would come through the ACM speakers, just not on the screen. Are you missing parking chimes?

Great!

I asked it, because we faced with chimes issues on friends pre-lift C Max and Focus mk3 cars while installing Sync 3 in the past year. :) All solved.
