Injector code read taking a long time

Post by Bowber »

Hi

I have a Mk7 2.4 TDCi transit van and I'm trying to check the injector codes in the PCM, when I click the run button with the read injector codes selected I get an image of the engine and the 4 boxes with codes in but the progress bar at the bottom shows 0%.
I'm not sure if the values in the boxes are the correct values yet as I've not actually looked at the injectors yet but the numbers do seem incomplete, several boxes with 00, when I click stop the window disappears so I'd have to write the values down.

The progress bar is displayed for all functions, it shows current progress of the procedure, in case of Read function procedure just reads data and does nothing more.

Hm, why do you think they are incomplete? Injector codes may contain zero'es. Anyway, please make a screenshot and post it here so we could see the incompleteness.

Correct. The service function Read Fuel Injector Correction Factors just reads injector codes, and nothing else. So if you see the number of the screen, the function has made its job. If you want to change the fuel injector codes, you need to run the service function Change Fuel Injector Correction Factors.

Ok, I just expected a message like read complete.
Now i know that's fine. I'll try checking it against the codes on the injectors if I can read them, just had a PCM update on the van as well so I'll be able to see if there are any new codes or if I fixed everything.

Thanks
