Voiding Warranty

Post by Kkp121 »

I couldn’t find much info on this so I figured I’d bring it here. Fairly new to the software but I’ve been able to successfully change all codes I’ve wanted. The question is assuming changing as-built data would void warranties in the event you needed to visit the dealer with a possibility of the truck being scanned. They would be able to tell you’ve edited the as-built data right? Assuming all that if you loaded all your factory as-built back up and cleared the logs it would be like it never happened or it would? Just a thought I had if worse comes to worse. Any info or insight would be appreciated

Warranty is only void if a change you have made causes the problem. Otherwise most dealers dont worry about it.
