P160A code after tire size change??

Post by cashcrazy »

Hello,

I am working on my ‘14 F250, 6.2l and recently changed wheels from the factory 17’s to factory 20’s. The new tire size was a preset option in FORScan so recalibration was super easy. I checked the speedometer with GPS and it appears correct. However, I am now receiving the P160A DTC after the change. Has anyone found a fix for this code? I appreciate any help.

*** The latest version of Forscan has a PCM Relearn and a TCM Relearn feature that clears the wrench icon after doing a tire size change. ... changed the tire size ...and got the wrench icon and initially couldn't clear the code. ...selected the PCM Relearn and the TCM Relearn options, the DTC code and wrench icon were cleared. Took the truck out for a test drive and all is good.

Please help. I can't get rid of the wrench after changing BCM 726-12-01 to 09E7 (was 09AC). Speedo is right on the money though. I have researched all the forums, run the Module Initialization/Relearn function several times, tried to delete the TCM DTC P160A multiple times. No other DTCs exist. This is a very persistent wrench.

Vehicle info: 2018 F150 Lariat, 3.5L Ecoboost Screw, FX4, 3.55 diff, new LT275/70R18 Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires.

Casting necromancy on this thread.

Did you ever find a way to clear the TCM version of the P160A?

I don’t have a TCM relearn, and can’t get that DTC to clear!
