There is another adapter used with FORScan. The original VCM I was tested and passed similar to:
CarDAQ Plus
CarDAQ Plus 2
CarDAQ Plus
CarDAQ Plus 2

I have a Cardaq plus 1 and 2 along with original VCM II. Which one will work best with this program. Also, does this do flashing like IDS and FJDS? Or is flashing/programming only done through Ford? Thank you! New here.

Re: Support of J2534 (Pass-Thru) adapters in FORScan v2.2.*
I've been using a 2 board clone VCM2 with our 2013 Kuga.
Has worked flawlessly with FORScan, did a Powershift TCU furmware update in less than 5 minutes without issue.
Wasn't the cheapest available, sourced from Germany but works a treat.
