Now with the recent firmware update support, are there any changelog/firmware history available.
It seems stupid to go through the update process if you don't know what's changed.
Updating IPC/ACM might be one thing but other critical stuff like ABS or PCM modules seems risky.
I mean, don't fix anything if it ain't broken.
Firmware changelogs?
Re: Firmware changelogs?
I'm so eager to update but held back by the same reason
Re: Firmware changelogs?
That would be down to Ford to publish (I had a look but couldn't find anything).
For me it was a necessity to update my Powershift firmware so it had to be done regardless.
PCM wise the car drives fine so I'm leaving well alone!.

Re: Firmware changelogs?
Same on my side, my fiesta has some outdated firmware modules (PCM, PSCM,ACM) however the car works fine and I'm holding back from updating just because I'm unable to understand what those new calibrations bring in terms of improvements, I'm curious to understand if Ford services are able to retrieve a changelog of the calibrations or if they blindly flash the newest ones (to be fairly honest, most of the mechanics I've talked to seemed to share the same idea: if the car works, don't update.)
Re: Firmware changelogs?
I've flashed quite a few bikes, there is normally a "service bulletin" that points to a firmware version and gives a quick note of what it has improved/ fixed.
Would presume Ford will have similar system.
On our diagnostic laptop it just says "software update available for vehicle" if there's a newer version though.
