Does anyone have the drivers for a VCM2?

The CD that came with mine busted, and I haven't been able to load the IDS software licence, or the drivers to see if I could use it as a J2534 pass-through with FORScan.

Looking forward for that release. Will try using VCM2.

Yes VCM2 has no dedicated drivers AFAIK... The only way is to install IDS. If you use VCM2 clone, we recommend to use v92 (not newer).

May be someone will create a dedicated drivers package for VCM2 some day.

Confirmed today, the Actia XS worked very good with a 2006 Ford Focus.

I have a Ford VCM 2 and use it with my Mazda IDS v96.04 without a problem with the latest Ford software from the link above. I had to install both the Ford Software and the Mazda one (from "c:\Program Files\Mazda Motor Corporation\IDS\Runtime\install3rdparty\ETAS") . A bit of regedit to redirect all the "VCI Software (Mazda-VCM-II)" to "VCI Software (Ford-VCM-II)" and it starts working. The VCM software from Ford and Mazda is mostly identical (even the version number) it has 2 different files and 2 different registry entries.

P.S.: And it works brilliantly with Forscan. Next step would be to add Wireless VCM support to Fordscan for iOS/Android. That would rock!!! But reimplementing the J2534 API as a shared object on top of the networked VCM communication protocol might be a bit tricky.

Will a J2534 adapter allow access modules on the UBP network? Can FORScan access them?

Well, from all J2534 adapters we saw only Ford VCMII does support UBP... And no, UBP is not supported for J2534 yet as testing of UBP is not successful yet (we had no chance yet to get a local access to a vehicle with UBP - as it is US market specific). If anyone has J2534 with UBP support and vehicle with UBP support, we are ready to cooperate (do necessary tests and implement normal support in FORScan).
