Hello,
I have been using an good quality ELM327 bluetooth adaptor and the Android App "Torque" to check OBD2 codes and other things on a few cars for a few months and it works well.
I just picked up a 2003 Navigator with a few issues and I would like to use FORScan with the adaptor but I can not find instructions on how to connect them, other than I need other drivers for a bluetooth adaptor.
Is it possible to connect a Windows 7 laptop to a Bluetooth adaptor for diagnostics?
If not, will the Android app work better?
Thanks!

Re: Connecting Forscan to bluetooth ELM adaptor
I made sure the laptop and adaptor were paired through Bluetooth tonight but still no luck.
So I think I might need to do the MS Can mod. I have this one:

Rather than rip open my adapter I thought why not buy an extension cable and just switch the two wires. Just use the extension for the Navigator, and I don't risk blowing my adapter.
I even found one with exposed wires that should be easier to modify.

Thoughts?

Re: Connecting Forscan to bluetooth ELM adaptor
I finally got it to work. The laptop needed to download a driver to communicate with the ELM properly, and it was just out of wifi range down on the street.
So now I'm in and communicating, time to fix some faults!
