Durashift (5sp) fluid / oil level test

Hiya, can anyone help with this little problem, I have a 53 plate Mondeo (built Oct 2003) with the 5speed durashift semi-auto box in it.
I've read in the manual that i need diagnostic equipment to check the oil level, is it possible to do the fluid / oil level test with this software?
Or, can I just drain and refill it?

Job sorted!
There was no need to find the fill level, I drained it off - there was only 3ltr in it.
It's now topped up with just shy of 8lts of top grade auto gearbox oil and changes gear properly.

Glad you got it sorted, but it sounds strange to me that it lost so much oil in the first place.
