WOW! This is some neat software.
Vehicle: 2004 Ford F150 Lariat, 5.4L engine
Conditions: ABS light, engine symbol light, ENGINE FAILSAFE MODE message, cruise control stopped working, P2106 code
Prior efforts to resolve: Google research led to testing of rear speed sensor but was unable to find adequate test to confirm it was bad; Autozone's scanner said replace TPS; Advance's said bad speed sensor.
Interface: OBDLINK SX, P/N 428501
First use of Forscan: Connected interface to truck and notebook PC. Started Forscan, but nothing displayed. After selecting Configuration though, then checking a box to automatically start the scan when connecting, then restarting the software, it proceeded with its scan. I can imagine how complicated the software must be, and how much trial and error was required by the programmer(s) to make this so user friendly, and I greatly admire their work. When the scan finished, which was fast, it reported an ABS DTC C1230-E0, bad rear speed sensor. Wonderful. Now it makes sense to buy one, considering they cost $80 locally.
THANK YOU FORSCAN. I can't believe how generous you are to make this available free. My research had only resulted on one other alternative for reliably getting the ABS DTCs, which would have cost about $180.

Thanks for your feedback, but we are afraid that the ABS code is not related to PCM one (P2106) - the one that caused limit of power.

Update: When I replaced the rear speed sensor last week all conditions stated in my original post ceased. So, it's fixed. Thanks again for providing this software.
