slope of pressure difference across filter to volumetric fl

Post by william »

FORScan has a pid (slope of pressure difference across filter to volumetric flow rate) and it gives a reading of 606 for my car.
Does anyone know what this pid refers to, and how it could be used in engine diagnostics.
Thanks.

This is another parameter that estimates DPF load. We don't know exact meaning, but believe it can be probably found somewhere in DPF theory. In practice, it is used to by regen procedures to estimate effectiveness of the DPF regeneration. If this parameter is less than 1000 after regeneration, the regen operation considered to be successful.

Thanks for the reply, I checked the pid today and it is now reading 975 with 400 km since last regeneration.
Now that I know the pids related to dpf I think I'll keep an eye on it to see how high the numbers go before it regens and how low they go after a regen, for future reference.
Thanks again.
