RCM Module not recognised

Vehicle: 2008 Ranger 3.0TDCI XLE 4x4 (South Africa)
Adapter: ELM327 clone (ELM327 v1.5)
I can connect to the vehicle OK, but Forscan does not list the RCM in the list of detected modules. I am trying to get the DTC for a front passenger side airbag flash code 21.
Could the problem be with the adapter and has anyone had any experience with this problem?

I have attempted to connect again and the software successfully detected all the modules in my vehicle. I am not sure if if the order of connecting has any influence but I connected the OBD connector first followed by the USB into the laptop. I was able to read and clear the airbag DTC's and display the PIDs for airbag resistance. I could actually see the resistance change as I fiddled with the connector under the passenger seat. Awesome!
