Re: How to program Central Configuration using FORScan
hey i cannot see cc for nothing and i am using the EXA2mike wrote: Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:08 pm I have been using FORScan for about 4 months now with 5 different vehicles and started off with the recommended OHP adapter with the switch.
While it worked ok with non-CC vehicles, it could not read my 2016 CMAX central config consistently, It could read a 3013 Fiesta CC backup but not write. I also had and tried a BAFX ELM327 BT adapter but it worked even less.
After much research and worrying about wireless BT connection and knock-off FTDI 1170/2120 etc. I got a USB OBDlink EX.
It is much better and I have been able to read and write the CC much better now. FORScan was able to detect and upgrade the firmware on it.

The cost was $50 USD for the EX vs $30 for the OHP but is worth the extra cost. Don't even bother with the OHP or wireless adapter.
Now if I could just get hyperflash turned off.
TLDR: if you want to do central config stuff, get a OBDLink EX USB adapter.

Re: How to program Central Configuration using FORScan
Hello everyone, good day.
Can admin or may be anyone experienced enough pointing me out to the right direction in regard to this issue of mine, please?
So, we are dealing with a 2011 Ford Fiesta with a stolen PCM right now. Owner has bought new PCM based on #VIN, so it's a new PCM. And our job is to get the PCM programmed to the car. We also have retrieved the AsBuilt file based on the VIN.
The problem is when we connect Forscan to vehicle it asked us to input "calibration strategy" or part number. We entered PCM part number, but it was rejected. We then entered the "calibration strategy" from other Fiesta (same year) that we worked on before, luckily (or strange enough) the input is accepted.
So, Forscan connected to the car. In Configuration and Programming menu we didn't see the new PCM listed. However we did find "main central configuration" that can be accessed through the IPC. We run the procedure and we did have option both Read and Write.
But the problem is from here i'm lost. We were expecting to find a PCM listed in the "main central configuration list" since we're about to program new PCM. But we didn't find PCM listed in the menu so we can program/write the AB file into it. But we did find in the list "Instrument Cluster Calibration".
I'm assuming since the procedure we run is the "main central configuration" the AB file should be programmed/written through this module; the IPC. But i was hesitant to proceed it because i was afraid i assumed wrong thus messed up the IPC module.
So, that being said, does anyone here can enlighten me how to get my job done with Forscan?
Anyway, we did try run module initialization in the PATS function. But it failed while generating the incode. We tried this 3 times without success, whilst previously, with the same car but here the new ECU fitted is second-hand, module initialization was completed successfully.
Thank you,
best regards.

Re: How to program Central Configuration using FORScan
I used this method attempting to disable the DRLs on my 2016 Transit 250. Everything appeared to work, i accessed the BdyCM CC with the help of the downloded/unzipped files referenced in the post. I selected the DRL's and edited to disable and then selected write. All was good with the world.... I then disconnected from the vehicle and then started the vehicle and to my disappointment when I selected R and the D the 80% bright dimmed beam DRL came on.
Any thoughts/insights as to my next move to disable the DRL's?

Re: How to program Central Configuration using FORScan
This really helped me out to change the speed limit on a friends 2017 Transit 250. I was scared when it wanted to download something, but after it did, I was able to edit a bunch of settings on his van. Worked like a charm. The pictures posted here and explanation really helped make it super easy to do. THANK YOU!!!!

Re: How to program Central Configuration using FORScan
Hello. I come with a little problem that I have with a Vgate Vlinker FD interface. I connect with it to the Mondeo mk4.5 through pc, with Forscan (with extended license), in fact it works quite well, except connect to the Central Configuration of the BCMii. It starts looking for the SBL file, to download it and then it fails. The calibration files are downloaded in the corresponding folder. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance

Re: How to program Central Configuration using FORScan
Hello Everyone, I was wondering if there is a procedure to activate the "follow me" function via forscan would be that function that when you open the car with the remote control turns on the dipped headlights.
Thanks for your help
