In the 04 expedition there should be a line in the Instrument cluster module configuration that can be enabled to turn on or off TPMS or a line to enable as not equipped.
That is how it is done in my 03 Expedition. In my case it was not equipped as the module harness was missing the module.

Could not comment as to the others for sure but as the TPMS warning is usually monitored in the instrument Cluster message center it should be similar?

In Mustang 2006 there is also tpms function controlled by ipc module.

just did it in my 04 Navigator, I used the as built data from my 03 Navi that didn't come with TPMS, the ICM asbuilt line is 60-01 9000 9200 FF82.

I have an 03 Eddie bauer expedition with as-built ICM
60-01 9000 9800 FF88.

Should I just change the second block from 9800 > 9200?

In my case it was changing the 2 in 9200 to an E but I cant remember if that disabled the warning or gave a "TPMS Turned Off" warning in the message center on startup. I have seen some asbulits listed as A in that position

Mine had a non asbuilt option in IC configuration that had TPMS listed and had the options to "Enable", "Disable" and Not Equipped that could be written and saved.

Interesting. I think the position in that block is the one to change. From what I remember, the last block is a checksum that forscan updates naturally.

Do you think an 04 with the follow blocks get changed like so?

60-01 9000 1800 FF08 tpms enabled.
Changes to
60-01 9000 1200 FFxx (xx) being the generated checksum?

Hi

Yes the second number in the second block is the one to change. What I posted in my reply was what I found in my 03 Eddie Bauer.
The 04's may be different depending on build date. The last digits are a check sum and should calculate automatically correct if the correct change is made in the block 2 second digit.

My IC configuration had a non asbuilt section for TPMS that opened to three choices, Enabled, Disabled or Not Equipped and I chose not Equipped and clicked write. The procedure completed and the TPMS fault warning went away! If I chose disabled and wrote it, then the message center would flash up TPMS Turned Off on start up and go away until the next start up.

This was done a year ago and I do not remember which change on the second digit in block 2 of the asbuilt configuration did what. The Second digit change to E set the IC message center to TPMS Not Equipped as that was what it left the factory with according to my AsB file. Somebody before me was playing around and had enabled it and the fault warning was there because this EB did not leave the factory with a TPMS module.

Backing up the original setting is always a good Idea! It saves a lot hair pulling!

Thank you all. This helped. I don't have access to a Gen 2 expedition anymore. However, this helped out a user on expedition forum for their 2004 Expedition.

From what I gather this is what is required.
Leave the TPMS DA-01 as-builts alone. If you don't have anything but beltminder in the non - asbuilt IC Module, look for the IC Module as-built line below.
60-01 xxxx x#xxx xxxx

x8xx - TPMS Enabled
x2xx - TPMS Disabled?
xAxx -?
xExx - TPMS not equipped?
