Program dash cluster ford cmax diesel 1.6 2005
Ford cmax zetc 1.6 diesel 2005. Mot due next month and my dash cluster digital displayou showing miles is not working. I have bought a second hand cluster from scrap yard. My question is can Forscan be used to program the other cluster to work in my car. It is from a 2007 cmax diesel.

Depends! Some models store the key information on the cluster, not sure on your model, however if not as in Focus mk3, 3.5, 4 and Fiesta Mk8 it is usually a straight swop, then using Forscan re input the existing asbuilts into the new cluster, then amend the mileage, make sure any cluster you buy has less miles on it then your original as you can only increase NOT decrease.
However if your cluster has key info built into it, this is a lot harder as it involves re initialising the key info to the cluster, you will need 2 Genuine keys to do this.
If you do a forum search I'm sure there's procedure guides on the forum already, believe tractmec did one on PATS. Note: your car will not start until this is done, cyou should not attempt this unless you have at least 2 genuine Ford keys with seperate transponder numbers, ie you cannot use 1 genuine and 1 clone!
To answer the other posed question if you go into the appropriate section on Forscan, there is a red box saying New Topic, select this, fill in the title box then pose the question.
Incidentally it doesn't need to be in capitals as this is seen as SHOUTING nor bold text either. If anyone can help they will reply accordingly.
