Mondeo MK5 IPC firmware

Post by el_barto »

Dear Community,
I have a small question regarding the upgrade for my IPC in my Mondeo MK5 from 11/2015 with Sync2. I would use the ForScan 2.4.5 together with a vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB Adapter.

The IPC has the following software releases (see attached picture)

Is it possible to go straight go for JS7T, like
JS7T-14C026-AJB
JS7T-14C026-BJB
JS7T-14C088-AJB
JS7T-14C088-BJB
- Firmware Build Date: October 30, 2017

or do I have to stay with FS7T (to match the hardware version)

FS7T-14C026-AJG
FS7T-14C026-BJG
FS7T-14C088-AJG
FS7T-14C088-BJG
- Firmware Build Date: January 6, 2016

Thx for any hints pointing me into the right direction and sharing experiences.

Well, thanks for confirming.
I made the IPC firmware update today successfully.
So I have new features enabled now.

Thanks to the ForScan team for that piece of software!

Looks like ForScan offers only the latest update within the installed latest major release as you can see in the first picture above. But you can anytime download the needed firmware files from:

https://www.fordtechservice.dealerconne ... roduct=IDS

I suggest reading the official how to which covers a lot of questions around the fw flash process: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18751
