fuel tank dte question

Post by redtruck1975 »

hey first time posting here ive got a 2021 f150 and I did a fuel tank swap to it with a 36 gallon tank and I followed your instructions to change the distance till empty it took the 36 gallon but when I change it from pcm to icp it reads 999 miles till empty im assuming this is a default the ip is going to. ive seen on other posts people with the same problem and no real clear answer how to fix this ive seen people say pumps fix this but im thinking its a calculation it goes by so that would be in the programming

Do you have sucess?

I have the same problem. I changed IPC MKZ for my 2017 Ford Fusion, and my fuel setting is not correct.

I've already changed to several different volumes (17,18,19 US gallons) and have no success with FORSCAN.

A friend who had the same problem was only able to solve it by programming the same tank through UCDS. I believe there is some way to do this correctly in FORSCAN, but I haven't been able to until now and my fuel marker is totally irregular (the autonomy goes up and down, it's always full)

It is always best to check the vehicle specific forums for specific vehicle issues. Check this (https://www.f150forum.com/f129/)

It is always best to check the vehicle specific forums for specific vehicle issues. Check this (http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=5855) or if you have a Fusion Sport (V6) this (https://www.fusionsportforums.com/threa ... wap.14913/). I would guess your issue is probably related to the setup for single or dual fuel tank.
