How to check power balance/misfires?

Post by wpg_f150 »

Looking to check for possible misfires on my 2004 f150. What PID(s) do I run to record the power dynamics or whatever it's called for each cylinder while driving? I'm referring to the graph that shows spikes and dips for each cylinder. Obviously I'm new to FORScan so thank you for any assistance with this :)

There is no "power balance" if compared to the IDS application, however:
Look at Mode 6 in relation to OBDII tests and view the posted videos to help.

It is best practice to "screen record" instead of watching while driving for the misfire events.
Replay and review the video.
