Forscan DRRB transit Continental/Forscan inj codes
Continental Injectors.
Use QR image to get codes.
Inj
4 122930 1400 030018
3 122930 0873 030018.
2 122930 1310 030018
1 122930 1477 030018.
The Continental injectors are fitted and work ok. The 030018 is near the QR square on each injector.
They were taken out and put back as they were.
Forscan - Read injector codes. The codes are nothing like as above. The correction factor is not on the injector unless 030018 is it.
Can someone explain the differences?

Re: Forscan DRRB transit Continental/Forscan inj codes
Each injector has its own series of codes.
All diesel engine injectors are assembled with very high precision parts.
The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) will accept the correct codes during programming.
The correct code of each injector must be entered to adjust the appropriate injection amount.
The high precision injectors will aid in emissions control and maintain stable engine operations throughout all ranges.

Re: Forscan DRRB transit Continental/Forscan inj codes
Why does the QR show all numbers and not as is in Forscan?
QR - 1 - 122930 1477 030018.
Forscan - 1 - 91 EG DF

Did you look at this page for examples?
https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2
Do you have the latest version of FORScan?
Post an image of that QR code.
What is the correct YEAR, MAKE, MODEL and ENGINE.

Re: Forscan DRRB transit Continental/Forscan inj codes
The Engine Code is DRRB
The engine size is a 2.2 TDCi 16V Euro 5
By chance is there a tag near the timing cover and are these injectors the original versions?
Is there a performance flash running on the engine?

No tag seen.
Don't know if injectors are originals.
Is there a performance flash running on the engine? What is this?

Re: Forscan DRRB transit Continental/Forscan inj codes
A performance flash is software developed for specific vehicles and engines.
The software is written to the PCM to increase ie: Power, Torque, Adjust Transmission Shift points etc.
FORScan would likely complain about a "Flash Program" and requesting a Calibration Code that may or may not come with the vehicle.
I don't believe you"re running that type Calibration but is only a question.
Since you have one or more QR codes and you know the manufacturer, contact them with the details.
If entering the QR codes you have, FORScan should locate the installed codes when entering the programming mode.
If possible, get a screen capture but do not write anything to the PCM.
The Euro VIN is difficult and confusing to access but found this entry and should identify your model when it was built.

Re: Forscan DRRB transit Continental/Forscan inj codes
Thank you for the reply and information.
Is a performance flash the same as mapping and remapping?
Continental, which is moulded into the top of the injector cap, have stated that the injectors they supply have the inj' code written on the top of the inj'.
Continental only sell a complete inj'.
The inj's in the eng' do not have a code written on the top.
The top part - solenoid valve - which look the same as the inj' on the eng' can be found on the internet. The word Continental is not seen.
On Aliexpress inj's that look the same (without the word Continental) with two QR can be found. Some have inj' codes on the top some do not.
From the above information it could be concluded that the inj's are not Continental but are of Chinese origin.
As yet I do not know what the original injectors look like or any that are recommended for the eng'.
The inj's that are fitted work okay.
Maybe they don't need codes.
Maybe only the tops were changed.
Maybe the codes came separately were entered but the source of the code has been lost.
The tag you referred to is that for the injector codes?
FORScan should locate the installed codes when entering the programming mode.
screen capture
see first post.
QR = 1 122930 1477 030018 - 4 digits mid' column. Forscan = 1 91 EG DF is 6 digits. It is not possible to enter the QR codes.
The VIN is the same but not all the info' is the same.
