A friend of mine wanted to activate the auto door-lock by speed, so we decided to give a try with ForScan and my ELM 327 with HS/MS switch (which works perfectly on my Fiesta).
Car is Focus MK3 2011, 1.6 diesel, 115 HP.
ForScan connected to the car, asked to move the switch, and read correctly all the modules.
I tried to read the Central Configuration, but it did not work... I saw a few DTC errors, so I decided to clear them out.
After reset, for some reason some of them were still there, and there was also a new one: B1206 - Crash Occurred
This error caused the yellow engine alarm to be on. When we tried to power on the engine, it did not start...
We tried to reset the DTC many times, but without success. We also tried with Torque, but it said "no DTC errors".
We tried to unplug battery for 30 minutes, but still same problem. My friend was almost crying ...
After reading this post, I decided to give it a try.
So I downloaded focccus, and clicked on READ BCM and READ IPC (it took a few minutes), and gave an error at the end.
Anyway the yellow engine light turned off, and the engine started correctly.
What can be the reason?
Issue with Focus MK3 - engine does not start

Re: Issue with Focus MK3 - engine does not start
So the B1206 appeared just after DTCs reset? This is very weird, we have no explanation for it.
The procedure that reads CC on FF3 switches BCM and IPC in special programming mode, load SBL, module reset and some other actions. Probably one of these actions has cleared the problem. Did you try BCM and IPC module reset service functions (in Service tab)?
Anyway, we have no idea why it appeared at all.

No, i didn't. Problem was solved after "reading BCM" and "reading IPC" with Focccus.FORScan wrote:Did you try BCM and IPC module reset service functions (in Service tab)?
Now my friend is quite scared
Just wanted to share my experience.
