DDM,PDM update problems

Post by brad2388 »

I have a 2019 f150 with the memory button side mirror clicking. I was able to get the modules to take the update no problem. But it left a U2100:00:0A initial Configuration not complete code in both modules.

I have downloaded the AB and reloaded it with the same code.

Has anyone ran into this before? What can i do?

After installing the new firmware update you should reload your original AsBuilt data to the module to initialize every block. This should resolve the problem and DTC ist gone. Initializing every block with the AsBuilt is the "initial configuration".

If this doenst help: In some cases the AsBuilt Data changes with the new firmware version - maybe a new block is added for example. When this happens ForScan support is needed. Maybe they can create the new AsBuilt for you.

If you solved the problem please share you experiences with us.

The U2100:00:0A initial Configuration error is recorded because the mirror is damaged, any reconfiguration of any sort will never repair a damaged electric motor or moving glass plate fixture.
Even it it is possible, remove the glass or have a glass shop perform the removal.
Inspect the internal motors and notice the In - Out with Up - Down.
Motor control can also be measured with a volt meter. The controller will "invert" the polarity for the position chosen.
If found defective (include the wiring) then replace the motor control.

If any water has entered the switch assemblies, treat the defects as a symptom. Cleaning is possible at times unless the circuit board "network" is damaged.
