Setting DRL's to disable

Post by Tonyg2724@gmail.com »

I'm having trouble disabling the DRL settings. I want them to be disabled. I went into 726-45-01 and entered xxxx-7Fxx-xxxx to allow additional choices. I then attempted to go to 725-50-01 and was going to change that to xxxx-01xx-xxxx to set master disable. Problem is I'm not getting presented with any x's to change. The only options after 725-50-01 were "Restore" & "Write". What am I doing wrong?

I appreciate any feedback you have. Thanks guys!

For one thing, have you confused the issue with posting 725-50-01 as the second address when supposedly you meant 726-50-01? Unless I am misinformed, I have not found a module with that 725 address that has that many address locations! Some Screens saved, with the Windows snipping tool, of your AsBuilt configuration tab(BCM) would be helpful or could you at least enlighten us on what the 725 module does(Actually found out it is WACM or Wireless Accessory Charging module)! The Model and Year of the vehicle would also be helpful!
In all the BCM Asbuilds I have looked at there are only two xx's in the first two locations at 726-50-01(726-50-01 xx) and they were the only two available and the only digits that did any thing with DRL in the ones I looked at ( 726-50-01 xx where the xx set to 01 disables DRL and 02 was enabled among other two digit parameters setting DRL positions, enabled supposedly by 726-45-01)

I do not think you are doing any thing wrong (Livinitup was commenting as "awaiting confirmation" on some of these in his spread sheet) and it would be helpful if you were to post the market this vehicle was originally to be sold in!
For instance any vehicle to be sold up here in Canada has DRL is a Transport authority mandate and cannot be disabled or changed from the headlights position (in other words there would probably be no way to set the 01 parameter in 726-50-01 and the choices in 726-45-01 would likely be blocked and/or the parameters unavailable at either address)!

Do not know if this is your problem or not and the spread sheets available online do not necessarily work on all vehicles!

DRL's can be completely disabled, at least on MK4 Focus. Using Forscan Direct configuration and after that, anytime you want, On or Off from dashboard settings.

Dunno for Mondeo, but I managed on mine S-Max (2018).
I enabled option on IPC and APIM. With that you have option to disable on dashboard cluster and on Sync.
Both work simultaneously well.

Unfortunately, I'm not interested in that option, because I always like my drl are on.
