Ford PIDs for exhaust temp sensors

Post by sleepy_t »

Hello everyone,

I really love working with Forscan to scan my Ford Mondeo for problems. But currently I am looking for a way to constantly monitor exhaust temp and temp after cat for monitoring when DPF regeneration is happening and always carrying the laptop around in my car isn't applicable.
I found a useful app for Android named Torque, but it doesn't show data for EGT and After Cat temps. This app uses the standard PIDs, but does Ford use different PIDs than standard? If so, does anybody know which PIDs are for EGT, EGT11 and maybe even relative DPF fill?

By the way, it would so be great to see a forscan Android app soon :D
Thanks a lot for your work and help!

Greetings from Germany

FORScan works with Ford PIDs (although if vehicle has support of OBDII, FORScan finds OBDII module too), Torque works with OBDII PIDs. OBDII should support CATEMPxx PIDs, but not sure about Mondeo Mk3 2007. For example Mondeo Mk3 2.0 TDCi 2005 has no OBDII support at all.

Thanks for the info.
I thought that maybe, because Torque supports usage of custom pids it would be possible to use the Ford PIDs for these sensors in torque, as long as there is no Android version of Forscan.
