Re: Fiesta MK8 Active park assist retrofit guide
Im very surprised the active park works at all, didnt realised you were using the incorrect PAM module you should be using the H1BT one which is correct for your model.
Firstly as the firmware is designed to work with the other modules in your car and talk through the canbus to each other, the one you have used is not.
Also the modules are designed with a particular vehicle in mind for size, length, height, position of sensors etc, whilst it may be possible to change these using asbuilt, this is not guaranteed to work and may contribute to your sound issues. It also uses a very complex algorithm to park the car correctly, yours may use a different one which may cause problems in some situations.
I have tried using diff parts before and had degrees of success and failure, but most of all unreliability.
Use the correct parts, may save you a lot of future problems.

Hi
Graham17:
I am very surprised that it is the wrong module. It's from a Ford Kuga. How and where can I check which modules are correct? (of course if you can tell)

Ghano38:
Thank you for the hint. As for the ACM, I have the same Ford Escape SE from this year 1FMCU9G92HUD46934
I will try with the PAM settings from the C-max you provided.
Thank you very much for your suggestions

Re: Fiesta MK8 Active park assist retrofit guide
I think that Graham is talking about Fiesta mk8 indeed the topic is about it,the PAM you are using is compatible with the Escape/Kuga since they are interchangeable with Focus mk3.5/C-Max mk2.5,the two only issues you will encounter are the size of the car in as built data and modules updating in Forscan will not show up automatically so you have to do it(manually)

Re: Fiesta MK8 Active park assist retrofit guide
If you look at my initial post, it lists everything needed for the Fiesta mk8 retrofit inc all correct part numbers.
I am not aware that Kuga parts will work on Fiesta mk8 however Ghano38 seems to believe so, so i will bow to his knowledge on this, they may well be interchageable but the Focus mk3.5 is a different car to the Mk4 and Kuga diff still. The problem comes when you have an issue which could be Firmware related or not but you have no way of knowing for sure hence why you should always use the correct part and firmware for your model.
That said if it works thats great! If not or you habe issues its another unknown added to the numerous things that can cause issues.
Good luck, hope you get it sorted.

Do you know the difference between the 15T850 and 15K866 modules?
I see that 15T850 was also installed in the ford Kuga 2018

I’am not saying the Fiesta mk8 PAM is compatible with Escape/Kuga one unless you modify the software but the poster is retrofitting this in a 2017 Escape as he has already posted in two topics i told him to her to avoid multiple posts so the Escape/Kuga,Focus,mk3.5 C-Max mk2.5 share the same hardware (BCM,PCM) for other modules only software and calibration change although you can install them without major issues.

Re: Fiesta MK8 Active park assist retrofit guide
Both can be installed depends on your BCM software and calibration.pierogi wrote: Tue Jan 03, 2023 3:38 pm Do you know the difference between the 15T850 and 15K866 modules?

Re: Fiesta MK8 Active park assist retrofit guide
Ha! Thats me misunderstanding his post, in that case may well work in that scenario, just not sure in Fiesta mk8.
Re: Fiesta MK8 Active park assist retrofit guide
Didn't want to start a new post, just thought it would be a simple matter to turn on those parking sounds.
Sections are responsible for the basic parameters of the vehicle from what I can see
736-01-01 ???? xxxx xx
736-02-01 ???? ???? xx
What do you think - can the setting of the region 736-02-01 xxx * (Region: 0=FNA, 1=FOE, 2=FOC, 3=FOAustralia. 4=FOBrazil, 5=FORussia) in the PAM module be relevant here when it comes to these sounds?
