Hello, I am attempting to program a junkyard PCM to use in the following vehicle:
2010 Ford Focus SE, 2.0L Duratec Engine
I'm using Forscan 2.4.6 beta (paid) and a Vlinker updated to the latest firmware.
When I try to update the firmware, Forscan seems to successfully erase the blocks, but fails when trying to write the first block. "Operation failed, retrying" but never works. Now, of course, Forscan can't connect to the PCM, so I believe I need to recover it.
I tried ticking the "recovery mode" box, removing power from PCM, but that was also unsuccessful. Same "operation failed, retrying" error.
Any ideas how I can get a successful flash? Thanks for the help.

Reinstall the OLD PCM, if it still talks.
Download the factory asbuilt and the firmware
Put the new PCM back in and try to reload the files
Is the new PCM exactly the same as the old one?

Update: support team was able to help me get this thing flashed.
Bottom line is that the version I used above has a known issue flashing. They had me in settings change ISO15765="In application" which allowed the flash to proceed normally.
FYI I had saved the original / old PCM data and as built and VID data already, it just wouldn't flash into the new PCM due to the above issue.
