i did a injector disable test for my 6.0 ,killing the injectors individually , to see which are bad, and it does a great job doing it, like a balance test, but manually,,, but if you disable a injector lets say injector 3, which side is it , what side of the block, or does it go by timing firing order ?????

Hopefully someone answered your question, but 1,3,5,7 is on one side and 2,4,6,8 is on the other side.

I don't know if it changes depending on the year of the truck but I found mine by googling.

How did you figure out how to do it?

I would also like to to know how to use Forscan (if possible) to do a diesel injector cut out test. I have used other OEM diagnostic software on other manufacturers in the shop, but I can't seem to locate this diagnostic function in Forscan. I guess buying an IDS license is the only way?

Any update? Id like to know if FORScan can do contribution tests. As of 2-10-2022 The only test I see is a KOEO Injector self test (buzz test). Any way to disable injectors manually with KOER as described briefly above?

I think to be honest we will not get a result on this cylinder contribution test being added to Forscan for the 6.0 Navistar/Ford engine! No one is bothering to answer us which is a real shame. Any feedback would be appreciated from the developer. I guess we will have to look at alternative diagnostic software.

Bumping another time for further review. I would gladly buy the extended package of this program if it meant I could use a power balance/contribution test on my trucks. Devs? Anyone?

We are sorry, but at this moment FORScan doesn't implement the Ford Cylinder Contribution/Power Balance test. This is quite complex graphical test that requires fast adapter (ELM327 will not work, at least not majority of it). At the moment when we had an ability to implement that test, adapters like OBDLink EX/MX+ or vLinker FS were not available, so it didn't make sense to spend time for the test. Now it is a big problem to dedicate an enough timeframe for this task as there are more priority issues in the development queue. And yes, if you ultimately need this test, you have to use another software. We are sorry for any inconvenience. We are hopeful to get a chance to implement it in the near future.
