It goes to 100% then restarts at 50% and climbs again over and over. It gets all the way to shift drum adaptive leaning and says ok but when it gets to gear command for neutral state for both transmission shafts it just doesn’t seem to go any further any help would be appreciated thanks
I've had this happen before a few times. Have you tried resetting all the modules beforehand? Is it in FTDI mode? Also what seemed to work once is driving it in limp mode for about two miles first. But mostly resetting the BCM and if that doesn't work reset all of them first. Oh yeah also make sure the car is up to temperature first or in the middle of the gauge then try the adaptive learning. I don't know what else you can try. Good luck.

I have tried resetting all models especially the body control module.I have ftdi mode set to auto is that ok? It’s just so strange when it gets to select gears for neutral state it just hangs up and can’t get past it. do you know what’s it’s testing or what it’s doing when it’s tests that particular part? I can’t figure it out and car is stuck where it’s at. I would hate to have to take it to dealer

Have you let the car warm up first? Can you try driving the car in limp mode for a mile or two? I don't know what else to try. This has happened to me before a few times. And that's what worked warm up and driving like two miles in limp mode then trying it.

I can’t really drive it cause my drive way is at bottom of steep hill and it doesn’t have enough runway before it just quits like it’s in neutral I guess that’s the limp mode your referring to. I might try jacking car up to spin wheels freely that way what are your thoughts?

I also have warmed car up with temp gauge half way but why would that matter anyway just curious?

I changed the module but the module that I have failed did not work if it allows me to carry out the 5 steps but when I connect the new module in step 3, which is the drum, it shows me that the process has been interrupted, I am using the "Vgate vLinker" cable FS", the faulty module is AE8Z-7Z369-F and the new module is AE8P-14F085-AE, I don't know if I should do something before starting TCM adaptive learning

The newest revised TCM is the AE8Z-F for the 2012-2014 and has been on back-order for almost two years according to my Dealer. You are using an old and likely used Module which I think would need initial program/flashing to your vehicle or might be one of the many defective ones.

One question, is there a problem with the HW of the old TCM being AE8Z-7Z369-F, and the new one being HW AE8P-14F085-AE, if so, it is the reason that it does not allow me to learn
