SODL Not Showing up on Forscan

Post by neil150 »

Hello Forscan Forum! New member here and new user of Forscan. Looking for some assistance for a fix for my new 2023 Ford F-150. Purchased the truck last week and shortly after broke my Rear Driver Side light (don't ask!). I purchased a new light fixture with blind spot and replaced the tail light.

I am now getting warnings when I place the truck in Drive that Blind Spot and Cross Traffic not working. In researching this, it looks as if I will need to reprogram the tail light module with my VIN.

Purchased Forscan and OBDLink EX dongle and plugged it in and ran the diagnostics. Once completed I could not see the SODL module in the list of modules for me to make the appropriate changes to the VIN (see attached log).

Can anyone assist me on this? Not sure what I am doing wrong!

Thanks in advance!

Neil

Wanted to close out this thread and to say how great the Forscan Support team was. They provided me with a different version of the software. With that I was able to see the SODL and SODR modules in the scan. Reprogrammed the VIN into the SODL and is now working like a charm.

I just came across your thread and I’m having a similar issue where I can’t see SODL in Forscan I’m curious what version of Forscan did you use to fix it?

I updated to the lastest yesterday from the site 2.3.56 and on my 2011 Ford Edge SEL I don't see the SODL and SODR modules. I need to replace the passenger side and was hoping this tool could program it.

Make sure you're using a vLinker FS or OBDLink EX or other supported adapter with the latest firmware updates. Delete the profile & see if FORScan can find the module.

Thanks using the vLinker I deleted the profile and when it recreated it I had the modules I needed. Looks like I will be able to reprogram the new blind spot module.
