Dumb question; As-Built for PCM contain "tune?"

Post by SeniorMasterTech »

I own a 2020 Explorer Platinum (365 HP). I have the As-Built data from a 2020 Explorer ST (400 HP). If a use the As-Built from the ST in my Platinum, will that change it to the 400 HP tune? Or is the "tune" (or calibration) something different? Please excuse my ignorance on this topic. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

the AsBuilt files are not for any tuning issues. Forscan is not made for any Tuning on the cars.
The AsBuilt files are the configuration files for each module related to the car, the module version and equipment installed in the car.

If you upload AsBuilt files of a different car into your car, some modules can stop working properly.

That was my assumption, but I did have to ask. Thank you.
