2018 focus S cruise control programming

Post by bhenry88 »

I have an 18 Focus S that I am adding cruise. Installed factory steering wheel with cruise control buttons. I have enabled Cruise and ASL in the BCM. IPC already shows everything cruise related enabled. The video I watched of a Focus MK3.5 having cruise installed shows I need to enable ASL and Cruise in the PCM. I do not have the module configuration tab for the PCM. I have Module initialization, vehicle ID block configuration, or module configuration (AS Built). Has anyone run into this complication? I have tested vehicle and cruise is inoperative. I am also confused on what this car is I have found a MK3 focus is 2011-2018 and a MK4 focus is 18-current. Wondering if it is a mk4 but have found info that there is no mk4 focus in US. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you checked in VID Block configuration if you have CC and ASL to activate?
In older focus CC has to be activated in VID Block Configuration, (that is PCM module)

I have attempted to see what was in the PCM vehicle ID block tab but every time I select it and select play I get an error message that says service procedure has been interrupted. Tried multiple times with the same result. Is there any where to find what AS-Built line that needs programmed?

Hmmm so, your vehicle has Central Configuration. Did you perform the module initialization/relearn from Central Configuration after changing porgraming?
Is there any other module where you might activate ASL and CC? Could you share a screenshot of module configuration and programing?
What version of Forscan are you using?

Just updated to 2.3.59. Performed module initialization on pcm, rcm, and abs modules. Tried cruise still inop. Went through all modules cruise and asl are only in bcm central configuration and IPC module configuration. Both are set on. Tried selecting pcm ID block configuration again. Same error as prior. Tried the pcm initialization again same results. B112b is set for steering wheel module in BCM. The one video I found on a 16 had this code set until PCM was programmed with cruise. Then the code cleared afterwards. Acts like the buttons do not work, I do have another set but really don't think that's the issue. I'll have to add the screen shot of my configuration and programming page tomorrow, my file is too large.

Hello.
I wouldn't mess AsBuilt configuration. Changes should be done through "Easy mode". I would recomend you intalling 2.4.11 version and trying again with that one. You should be able to get in VID Block and activate it through there.
If not, send a message to support team at support_team@forscan.org attach the log and they will help you for sure.

You can download Beta version from her:

If you still can't access VID block with beta version, you might reach support team, that will certanly help you.

Have been in contact with support team, they were able to get me into the PCM to change the cruise and ASL settings. Still have no cruise, I have performed the pcm Configuration after each programming. b112d keeps setting in bcm for steering module. I have tested and made sure cruise switches have power, and all wiring is good that came with steering wheel. support team has told me that on the us market focus it is not necessary to change anything in pcm. Only bcm settings for cruise and asl are required. I reset all settings back to factory and started over, still no luck. the only other thing I haven't done but am going to try is plug in the cruise switch I originally purchased that I thought I could add. I am unsure if there is anything else I can do.
