PL2303 vs FT232

Which offers better performance PL2303 or FT232? Thinking of designing an adapter based on STN1170, wondering if there is an advantage with PL2303 or FT232.

Both are good if not counterfeit. Differencies exist but not too significant. Prolific is slightly faster.

In case of china clones, FTDI is generally preferable as usually more stable.
