Hello,
Followed the guide on line and reading the leaflet no joy getting it going.
When I first insert the USB it comes up with windows does not reconigse this device.
I have tried installing the drivers which appears as if it's successful..
When I follow the next step to update the drivers it doesn't do anything at all doesnt allow you to pick a port , doesn't work with forscan either doesn't connect.
Any advice?

Replying to your PM text above, Here!Jamierobert101 wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 5:46 pm Help?!!!
I have tried this multiple times but it's not working.
Using vlinker to update it doesn't even reconigse the port, and comes up with usb device not recognised.
This likely is a problem in the Computer and not with the Adapter or the Driver software!
Is the Adapter plugged into a USBver3 Port! Some Computers have had problems recognising USB ver2(Usually White ver1 or Black Separator ver2) adapters on USB ver3(Blue Separator) ports
(It was known to happen with early OBDLink EX adapter firmware on HP Laptops! USB 3 is supposed to be Backwards compatible with USB 1 and 2 but has had some growing pains on some Computer Firmware Bios installs in the past)!
The solution was to either Plug the adapter into a USB Port that is version 2 only or use a version 2 USB Hub(Look in the Windows Device manager with the vLinker plugged in and see what USB Port and Root Hub the VCP driver set itself up on{will be called USB Serial Converter and should give the Serial COM Port and a Number between 1 and 5}{May have to use "View Devices By Connection" if the USB Serial converter does not show up in "Devices by type"}!
This just one place to go trouble shooting and I have had to manually change the port assignments before these work sometimes!
Given the Plug and Pray nature of Windows(Have been there many times myself) and the limited amount of information about your problem, That is all I can offer(ex. A Screen of your device manager showing what USB Ports/Root Hubs are available and the Com/USB Port connection to the USB Serial Converter may give more clues?)!
Just a Guess that may or may not be an educated Guess?
