OK, so I need a little advice given my situation.
I need to be able to reset crash data for my 2013 Ford Edge SEL. For this I understand I will need either one of the many special programmers for SRS or send off the SRS to many online companies that reset themt OR from what I read IDS can do this and IDS has enough trial use i can take advantage of, no? I dont want to send it off unless i MUST.
I also need to reprogram SODL module that was missing after an accident. I have purchased a used Blind Spot Monitor from Ebay but as i understand it needs programmed. I believe Forscan can do this, no?
GIven that I need to reset crash data and ForScan cannot do this (yet? will it ever?) i will need an IDS compatible scanner and something that works with ForScan so i can continue to use ForScan and not waste my money since I will not be subscribing to IDS once my SRS is reset.
So...at around $100 (hope) what scanner should i buy? I see CANtieCar v3 seems pretty awesome...but how much money and how/where to order? I also see CANtieCAR v4 mentioned in their support page but not in their products page.
OBLink MX looks great for ForScan but wont work with IDS of coarse.
I see people talking about the VXDIAG VCX Nano which seems like a great option @ $100 if it doesnt totally suck. given that i am not going to be using this heavily i think that would suit, no?
