Apim
7D0-04-01 xxxx xxx0 xxxx (2 before modification)
7D0-01-02 xxxx x0xx xxxx (4 before modification)
That works perfect, i have surround option and nav on ipc/small screen distance and directions are goods.
do you have the buttons on sync screen? i did that but buttons dont show up
When changing these values , a master reset is required for changes to take effect

here all the documentation for the apim

Hello 12VoltWill, can you tell me the wiring that needs to be changed, Focus UK model with factory sync 3 and dual auto aircon.
Have enabled it on the sync3 screen but as most people report the driver becomes the passenger on the sync touch screen.
Any help gratefully received.

I've done quite a few of these upgrades from Sync2/MFT to Sync3 and when the climate controls are backwards it's actualluy in the wiring.. There are 3 wires that need to be moved from one of the bezel harnesses to the other. I will try to post the solution tomorrow.

I was testing my forscan and stupid me enabled many many things and than many many things didnt work ofcourse. I have fixed most of them but having problem with climat control. Everything works on the hard buttons but on sync3 i cant see nothing i do on buttons. climate is off on everything.
Also having problem with upper buttons on steering wheel. The ones that control dashboard. the left side controls now the center dash and the right buttons controls the left side of dash. Also the clock doesnt show on sync3 screen.

Hi, i managed to activate climate controls to sync3 screen using the drop down menus of forscan. Everything seems to work fine but i will test it tomorrow on my way to work. Does anyone knows anything about negative side effects after activating climate control on sync?

You can downloaded your original as built file and then just upload it to the car.

I have tried to add the climate to my Ford RD LE 2018 Sync 3.4 and it simply does not work due to checksum error warnings. Forscan states not to worry about checksum as Forscan calculates the checksum for you but it does not. I also read to clear the last two digits to 00, but that does not work either, no matter what a checksum error warnings occur. Next I saw a thread that showed how to calculate the checksum and gave an example, testing the example on a hex calculator gave me the same value they showed, so then i tried it on this climate change, and entered the new value on the last two digits, but once again checksum error on write.

it maybe that is updates the checksum on write, but that is certainly not clear, and not a very good design if it does.

so how are users here getting this to work, or calculating the checksums, or as said above does this occur on write, disregarding the error.

Cheers
Nicw
